More offers before and after the concerts

Meet-up before the concert ... the early bird! 🐥

Talking to you and having you talk to each other is one of our declared aims this year.

With our »The early bird!« program, we created an extra opportunity for you to get into conversation.

All you have to do is to arrive at the venue an hour before the concert and automatically you will get to chat with other concert goers over a delicious piece of cake or a pretzel. You will also have the chance to browse the digital program booklet with one of our iPads.

The food is on us – but only while it last and the cake/pretzels will be limited to one tray or one basket. Only the early bird gets a share! The offer applies to all concerts with the bird symbol.

Perception program: hall + stage 👁️‍🗨️

The perception tour is an invitation to interested visitors with and without visual impairments. Let us take you near the stage half an hour before the concert starts and we will describe to you in detail what we see on stage and which instruments and musicians will be involved in the concert.

Meeting point: The foyer team counter on the inside left behind the main entrance. You can recognize our perception offerings in the program by the eye symbol.

Perception programm: instruments 👁️‍🗨️

This offer is also aimed at people with visual impairments as well as sighted people. Lecturers from the Rheinische Musikschule describe various instruments and how they are constructed in the foyer of the Cologne Philharmonic. The listeners are invited to touch and feel the instrument or the parts described.  Meet the clarinet on May 10th at 7pm, the violin on May 11th at 5pm, the grand piano and harp on May 15th at 7pm and the grand piano again on May 16th at 8pm. The instrument introductions take place in the foyer of the Cologne Philharmonic, in the sofa corner to the right of the entrance (past the bar and cloakroom). You can recognize our perception offerings in the program by the eye symbol.

This offer takes place in cooperation with the Rheinische Musikschule.

The Lounge is back!

You missed it, we brought it back: The ACHT BRÜCKEN Lounge. On four festival days, we will end the day with a free concert (Pop, Jazz or Elecronics) at the kunstbar, a three-minute walk from the Kölner Philharmonie.

You can recognize the lounge in the program by its pink label.

Digital booklets

May is a time of renewal and this time at ACHT BRÜCKEN that includes the program booklets. For the first time, we can provide you with a digital program booklet for every concert and thus also image and sound material for the individual concerts, additional information and multimedia content.

You will find the digital program booklets available free of charge on our website in advance of the individual concerts. All you have to do at the concert venue is to scan the respective QR code. You can find this under the program information in our brochure and on posters at the venue. As always, the digital program booklet provides background information on the participants, composers and works and gives a comprehensive insight into the concert program.
